Point a connected inbox at exactly the right folders or labels, and turn on auto-screen so applications that match an open job are screened the moment they arrive.
Once an inbox is connected, two settings decide what Edjobster sees and what it does with it: which folders or labels each mailbox watches, and whether auto-screen is on for the workspace.
You're a workspace admin. Both settings are admin-only.
Setup steps
1
Open the Email connector
In the left menu, under Workspace settings, open Connectors and choose the Email tile. Each connected mailbox is a row in its Gmail mailboxes, Outlook mailboxes or IMAP mailboxes card.
2
Choose the folders or labels to watch
Edjobster reads only what you pick: Gmail labels (Change labels), Outlook folders (Change folders), or IMAP folders (Folders), up to 25 per mailbox. Point it at wherever applications actually land.
If applications are mixed in with other mail, set up a rule or filter in your email provider that moves them to a dedicated label or folder first, then watch that.
3
Turn on auto-screen
Auto-screen matched emails is one switch for the whole workspace, every mailbox included, and it's off by default. When it's on, an email whose subject matches one of your open jobs (a [JOB-…] tag, or the job's title) becomes a candidate and is screened as it arrives. Unmatched emails always wait in your inbox, and so does a matched one held for review: its CV couldn't be read or carried no email address, or it has an attachment that isn't a CV. When it's off, you promote each email from the inbox yourself.
Verify it worked
Each mailbox shows the folders or labels it watches, and the auto-screen switch reads On if you turned it on. New applications land in Inbox, matched ones screened already, and Sync inbox there checks for new mail right away.
Troubleshooting
New applications aren't appearing.
Edjobster only reads the folders or labels you set. Confirm applications land there (a filter or rule may be moving them elsewhere), or point the mailbox at the right ones.
An application arrived but wasn't screened.
Auto-screen only screens emails whose subject matches an open job. It holds back a matched one whose CV couldn't be read or carried no email address, or that has an attachment that isn't a CV (small signature images don't count). The inbox row says why. Promote it from the inbox to screen it.
Auto-screen is using more credits than expected.
Each auto-screened application uses one credit, as a manual screening does. For tighter control, turn it off, promote emails from the inbox, and screen from a job's Applicants tab.
